Photos and video, 5043 and 68009 at Birmingham Snow Hill, 30/07/17

68009 is seen first emerging from the tunnel, then a few minutes later Earl of Mount Edgcumbe can be heard climbing up through the tunnel from Moor Street station with The Shakespeare Express. 5043 runs round the train in readiness for the afternoon run to Stratford, and I head for Moor Street to film it departing.

Another update to the app!

6 days later and much thinking and editing, the app now has a box to enter a location code and map url of your choice! It’s getting better, but not really finished yet. I will have to amend the “instructions” to include the new feature but need some time to mess around using it to try and find any problems. I have updated the .apk file to be the new version.

The .apk file can be downloaded from here

SVR coaches 650, 31420 and 25771

In recent weeks I have seen two recently overhauled coaches and one part way through an overhaul. These photos have come from my camcorder, so aren’t the best – but worth showing.

Only small photos here, but click them to see larger versions, which are also in my gallery.

650 seen behind 7812 at Arley, 22/11/15

31420 at Kidderminster, 11/11/15

25771 at Kidderminster, 11/11/15

A week of August already gone….

…and I’m still not keeping up with everything!

I actually took some photos last week, 68002 came to Stourbridge – first photos since April, obviously too busy with camcorder.

The backlog of videos keeps growing, probably for every three I take only one gets uploaded, sounds like another winter project? A regular outing seems to be to Stourbridge in the morning to see the two Round Oak freights. Doesn’t take too much time out of the day.

Oh well, haven’t time to spend typing – must crack on with those jobs that need doing.

Update 680. Day 2 of the Severn Valley Railway Autumn Gala, 22/09/12

Catching a train from Kidderminster, I was in Bewdley before the arrival of the goods train. After photographing that, the long trek down the Stourport Road for some sunny shots on the embankment by the Safari Park. The clouds started to form, but a couple of hours later they cleared and the light was perfect. I stayed there until the goods train passed by on the way to Kidderminster, then had to rush back to Bewdley for a train back to Kidderminster. At the main line station, there was a wait of about 15 minutes for my train, so had a few minutes spare to pop back to the SVR station to photograph the goods wagons.
