Alongside the river at Arley, 42968 was seen heading south on a maroon set which included the Venturer diner. Then at the station, 46443 s/b on Footplate Experience with 6-coach GW set, crossing with 4566 on a n/b train. Finally, 7812 on the GW diner crossed with 7802 working s/b on teaks.
7714 heading south near Arley, crossed at the station with 46443 on a northbound train. Then up at the station, 7802 arrived with a 6-coach GW set on Footplate Experience. The next s/b train was delayed, problems with D444 at Hampton Loade, so D8188 complete with “Thunderbird 1” headboard was sent through to rescue the 50.
7802 headed north once the 20 had cleared the section and would run into one of the Highley sidings to allow the 20 & 50 to use the platform road at Highley. Meantime, 7714 arrived with a n/b train at Arley, to await the diesel-hauled train, which was by now about 45 or more minutes late.
We waited to see the 20 return with failed 50 and train, then headed home. Pity I didn’t have my camera!
I heard about this working as I was taking a bath at home. With some help to dry my back – arm still in plaster! I had to rush to the station with only minutes to spare.

A mad rush to the station today, a text message informed me the 66s were heading this way. They passed through about 5 minutes after I arrived at the station.
As far as I know, one 66 had returned D1062 to the SVR from the WSR on Tuesday, the other had worked to Long Marston on Wednesday.
Still not sorted the photos.
At Bewdley, 7714 & 7802 were seen working the trains today.
I always try to see specials with the older diesels if passing nearby. Starting at Skegness, this one reached the Midlands at a sensible time & we were able to see it on the way to the SVR.
The HST was a bonus, as was sunshine!

June 14th was Land Rover Day. I called in at Arley, Highley & Kidderminster, via train, and managed a few photos of the vehicles.

Arriving at Kidderminster on the train, I noticed some interesting cars parked nearby. After photographing some Land Rovers at the front of the station I went to investigate, there wasn’t much time before catching my train home but the photos show some of the vehicles there.

First time I have seen one working the service to the Town station, don’t ask me the number – didn’t have my glasses on!!
Land Rovers were on display today. We headed for Arley as usual, 7714 was on the maroon set with the Venturer diner. 46443 on footplate experience, both Manors were running, also 4566.
I caught the limited as far as Highley, to see some Land Rovers, then the next train to Kidderminster for a wander round, before heading home by dmu.

7812 with 6 LMS headed towards Kidder, crossing at the station with 7802 on a Bridgnorth train. 46443 was next on a charter with GW diner set, crossing with 37906 on the diesel turn. Finally, 7812 back again, and 4566 was the 5th loco working trains today.
