SVR 6th March, second day of “Reunion” gala

It was a “full dull” sort of day, headed for Arley to catch the first train of the day towards Highley. Most of the time was spent in & around The Engine House, venturing outside only when a train was due. Some time was spent at the station, before catching a train to Arley, and not forgetting to buy a “Highley Slice” before leaving. Stayed at Arley until the next train for Bewdley, but didn’t spend long at Bewdley before returning to Arley & heading home.

7802 had replaced 78019 and worked the 09.00 from Kidderminster, but the problem with the Standard was fixed during the day & it was back in action in the afternoon. Tom’s white buffers on 7802 weren’t quite so clean after the trip to Bridgnorth & back!

More photos from yesterday have recently been uploaded, see link on previous post.

Update 297. Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Reunion Gala, 05/03/10

I’ve started on the photos, but not done much this evening. As always, I’ve taken loads & it’s not easy omitting photos when most of them have come out well, but I am trying to show the day as I saw it. A brief write-up of my day was in the previous post, so you know which locos were running.
