Took our grandson to The Engine House today, 5764 was our loco, 5164 worked the other train. Wasn’t expecting to take many photos but D444 was seen at Highley and D8059 was at Kidderminster with a steam crane. When we returned to Kidderminster the convoy of diesels was ready for departure to the WSR on Tuesday – D444 would be hauling 50026 (going to Eastleigh) D821 & D1062 for WSR diesel gala. Also photographed from the train were the diesels in Kidderminster yard.

The convoy:-

With no tender locos available, 5164 was in use on Footplate Experience and diesels were used on two of the service trains, making it an interesting few hours with plenty of variety.
