Just fitted a 1.5TB hard drive

For years my photos have been all over the place, on 2 hard drives plus other external drives. A 1.5TB drive at under £50 seemed a good idea & I have now fitted it in place of the 500GB d-drive. All I have to do now is try & get them all sorted. At least I have several spare drives now to keep copies of all the photos.

The snow has all gone after 3 weeks

I think it was 18th December when we had that heavy fall of snow. There were traces of it in our garden until just a few days ago and even on Thursday morning when I took KC for a walk I saw a few small heaps of snow where people had cleared it from their drives. Then of Friday morning another covering of snow, which soon turned to slush. Today – it was all gone.

Bewdley 6th January

My cup of tea went cold as I watched the action!! D3022 was shunting the EMF sales coach & other stock from the siding adjacent to the car park then back into platform 1. The track in the siding needs to be relaid, don’t think there was much wood left in the sleepers.

Bewdley 3rd January

Last service trains at Bewdley for nearly 3 months, so had to make the effort! Arrived at Bewdley at about the same time as the 11.54 trains. 42968 was on the train to Bridgnorth & 7802 to Kidderminster. Plenty of time for lunch before seeing 7812 on the next train to Kidderminster.

That’s it for service trains until February 12th when the line reopens between Bridgnorth & Highley, then on March 26th the whole line will be open.

Full house at Bewdley, Jan 2nd

We made the effort to get here earlier today to see all 4 trains. Musn’t forget the Class 20 was in action as well.

D8188 was seen arriving with the stock from Arley, which had to be moved in advance of the engineering works, this included the 3 grotto coaches, 2 Siphons & 2 tankers. Next was 7802 on a train from Bridgnorth, then 4566 from Kidderminster. As soon as 7802 was clear the Class 20 was away from platform 3 to couple up with the wagons to form another train towards Arley. Once the section to Arley was clear the 20 was away.

Time for lunch before the arrival of the next 2 trains. 7812 was in first with the diner, then 42968 on the train from Bridgnorth. Only one more day of trains before the major engineering works start.
