The convoy photos were seen in the main line section, but I have included some of those photos here in the SVR section along with some shunters around the turntable. The convoy to Eastleigh consisted of 56312 hauling 50026, 50031 & 50135.

Having a camera & camcorder creates problems – video or photo! Spending a few hours at Arley gave me the opportunity to do a bit of both, filming the moving trains & photographing “still” shots. As yet I haven’t sorted the videos but have a fair selection of the locos in varying light conditions. The darker shots weren’t meant to be masterpieces, but just experimenting to see the results at the maximum camera setting of iso12800. The locos seen are 2857, 4936, 7812, 34053 & 43106.

I wanted to see 5164 on its final day. I decided against a video as it was quite breezy (should’ve had my camcorder with me the previous day when it was calm!) so made do with photos. Also seen are 4 shunters by the turntable & the DMU departing.

The last weekend of running for 5164 before the boiler ticket expired. It was working the Bridgnorth set and I took a few photos of it during the short time I was at Kidderminster. Must say it still looked very smart!!
Note the sad “face” on the smokebox, which can be seen better in a couple of the other photos
