Following on from my brief visit to Stourbridge, a ride across to Dorridge to see a couple of freights. A couple of 67s on Chiltern trains were also seen – better make the most of these before the new 68s take over. I’m not sure on how the 68s are progressing as regards to reliability, or when they will be seen on this route. A few are working trains in other parts of the country, but not without problems. To add to the variety, some Chiltern units are seen, makes a change from London Midland livery.

I was pleased to see the Class 70, certainly makes a different sort of sound to a 66.

Just a brief visit on this occasion. There was the usual second freight due through soon after this one, but I had see the loco here before & wanted to see something different – and went to Dorridge, details of which will be in the next update. Oh, I did have a panic about being bowled, but the DMU cleared just seconds before the freight appeared in the distance.
