Photos and Video, 50007 and 50049 return to Kidderminster, 22/07/18

Filming them drifting down the Dark Side didn’t really appeal to me, so I went to Kidderminster which gave me the opportunity to film the other SVR trains running – which were hauled by 1450, 1501, 2857, 7802 and D1062. The photos are in the order in which I saw them. I had to be crafty when 2857 departed as the 50s were due to arrive at around the same time and I needed to be in a suitable position for both movements, which worked out well as the video will show. There are 16 photos, I’m saving time by not adding captions but I’m sure you can identify all the locos.

Photos and Video, 45110 move to Kidderminster, 23/07/18

The Black 5 was moved to Kidderminster for the August 4th “Last Days of Steam” event. It was hauled from Highley by D4100 and I travelled there on the first train hoping to see it. I was lucky, my train arrived at Highley and the 09 and Black 5 were still there. I filmed them departing and caught the next train back to Kidderminster, passing them as they were held in platform 3 at Bewdley waiting for a spare slot to run to Kidderminster. Walking to the footbridge, I was just in time to see them rounding the curve by the carriage shed, and filmed them again. Heading home, my train was a 153/170 pairing, so I got off at Stourbridge to film them departing.
