After some light, then loaded test runs at the SVR, Royal Scot returned to Crewe. Fortunately it was booked into Rowley loop so I could see it twice!

Had to delay taking KC for a walk as 1Z30 Bristol – Newcastle with a pair of 50s was certainly worth seeing and due through Cradley soon after 8am. It was cold and a bit dull, the focus was a bit iffy as the train sped through – but glad I didn’t miss it, or get bowled!!

The rest of the “freights” at Stafford, although two shots are of light engines and a unit shot as well. Not so interesting to most people are the various other units seen, I filmed loads of those but haven’t time to edit and upload them – maybe one day.

After seeing 60015 at Smethwick I headed to Stafford for a few hours. I’ve edited and uploaded the first clips of freights at Stafford, with more to follow.
Locos seen are 66121, DR73113, 88002, 66767, 90036, 90040, 88001, 66420, oh and 221117.

The first part of my day, to see the 6E08 Wolves – Immingham, plus a few units of course. I was on the way to Stafford but haven’t started on those videos yet. Units seen were 170511, 170507 & 350125.

A very brief visit to Moor Street to see 45305 arrive with the stock for the Polar Express, as it was drizzling I didn’t bother to walk up the platform to see the 20 at the other end. 68011 is also seen departing with a London train, that was a few minutes before 45305 was due.

I think I’ve sorted out the plugin which notifies subscribers of new posts to the blog, so hepoefully you will receive this?
So far in 2020 I have made an effort to post every day, so if you haven’t checked recently – see what you might’ve missed!!
Towards the end of last year I thought I could’ve started the “on this day” photos post again, but the lack of spare time last year put me so far behind with everything. If I can catch up on what I didn’t do last year, then I will start it again.
The previous blog posting went to my new test subscription but not to my original one, so I have just edited all the other subscribers to make them active. Hopefully it will work now.
Looking at my calendar for November, just 3 events to complete now, but one of them was at Stafford, and loads of trains were filmed. That’ll take a few days to do.
It’s not easy getting back into a routine of posting in the blog. Everything for me these days seems to come from videos – it takes quite a while to edit and upload videos, then some “photos” need to be cropped from those videos to be added to one of my galleries. Finally the blog post, the recent ones I have done have a link to the video, a gallery page and some small images in the blog post. All very time consuming, oh, and mustn’t forget adding the event to the calendar – which is probably over a year out of date.
Then notifications to subscribers seemed to have stopped working recently. I updated a few plugins, perhaps that caused a problem. As I only have a few subscribers it doesn’t matter much though. I’ll post this and see if an email comes through to my test email address…
The locos were used to move the barrier coaches from the SVR to Reading. Made a change to see them somewhere different, and in sunshine.
