My first outing this month, Vintage Trains Blackpool Illuminations Explorer, 1Z18 Birmingham New Street – Blackpool North. Some units also filmed as I waited for the railtour – 196106, 350408, 350124 & 350370

The Rail Adventure power cars were used to move old HST stock and are seen in the dark at Cradley Heath. One of the power cars is bowled by a DMU, I couldn’t read the numbers so not sure which were filmed. The workings were 5Z25 & 5Z26 stock moves from Laira to Chaddesden sidings. The Voyagers were working 1E67 Plymouth – Leeds, other was 1V66 Edinburgh to Plymouth. Numbers were 220023 on the first set and 221139+220002 on the other.
