My day started at Kidderminster. A good show of road vehicles around the station site, not forgetting the Vauxhall Victors on display under the station roof, including one of the Victors built on the first day of production in 1957. I didn’t want to miss the Class 47s on a main line special to Kidderminster, which, unfortunately meant less time calling at the other SVR stations, but it did give me the opportunity to get a photo of the DMU departing with an SR parcels van attached to the rear.
I travelled to Bridgnorth on the train, but was only there “minutes” before catching the next train to Arley to see more cars & also the DMU which was due to pass the train I had travelled on. This time the DMU had a 6-wheel tanker attached to the rear.
Catching the next train from Arley, it was quite late in the afternoon and not really worth stopping off at Bewdley, but it had been a very enjoyable day.
Travelling on the train also gave me the opportunity to see the progress on The Engine House since my last journey in October.
67 photos, mainly of road vehicles
