Feeling like a day out, Andrew & I headed for Nuneaton. The passage of Pendolinos on the WCML seemed rather erratic - which apparently was due to problems at Crewe, with power turned off to some of the overhead lines. Also a 66 on a tanker train had failed to reach the oil terminal at Bedworth, disrupting trains on that route. At least we saw a variety of trains, including a “Thunderbird” which had been sent to assist with the tanker train.
