47727 was due to run from Rugby to Westerleigh on the 12th, I waited at Longbridge for it but it didn’t show - the weather was awful & the only worthwhile photos were of an Arriva XC HST heading for the south west.

On the 15th, 47727 was due to run from Worcester to Carlisle as 0Z47. This time I was determined not to miss it, but there was not much time to spare. Battling through road works & having to park some distance from the station, I arrived on the platform as the Class 47 passed by - all I managed was a “going away” shot. The other reason for going to Longbridge was to see the NMT on a working from Derby to Oxford & return.

Finally, to Wolverhampton on the 19th to see 97303 & 97304 on the 0Z97 from Barrow Hill to Shrewsbury. Also a few “units” are seen at Wolverhampton
