I was sat at home when the 'phone rang, "where are you", says the voice, "at home" I replied. "Get up the station quick, there are a couple of 66s on the Tesco coming your way!" To say I was shocked would be an understatement, but I was out the house in seconds! The train had just passed Kidderminster so I had to move fast, but I made it to the station with a few minutes to spare. Freights this way are rare and they normally follow a stopping train, but this one was running between the "fast" trains. The problem with that was a stopping train was due down the bank at any moment, so I had to make use of the footbridge to get the photos. I believe 66421 had failed & 66303 was hauling the loco & train. Perhaps it ran this way because the load was too heavy for 1 loco up the Lickey?
