As the photos will show, the variety of trains is very limited. Majority of trains are Class 150 DMUs, occasionally with a Class 153 single unit attached to increase seating capacity. Chiltern Railways also run a few trains to/from Marylebone at peak times. The route is also used for diverted trains if the route via the Lickey (Bromsgrove) is closed. Only regular daytime freight at present is Margam to Round Oak loaded steel, and return. The branch to Stourbridge Town has been worked by a single 153 unit, but that finished near the end of 2008 and is due to be replaced by a Parry People Mover in the near future
