The day didn’t go quite as planned, unfortunately. I was tempted out by an Advenza working, also a 31 on a Serco train. The 31 ran as far as the Whitacre Junction area, then went back to Derby. Still, I was pleased to see 47810 moving some wagons from Crewe to Long Marston. A 66 was on the tanks instead of the usual 60, and an EMU blocked my shots of an HST, but 66301 was on the Fastline empties for Avonmouth. Anyway, the sun was shining & it was a new location for photos.
Then off to Aston to see 47727, maybe?????? (actually, no - missed it)
