We were heading to Kings Norton to see an Advenza working to Long Marston and with time to spare it was possible to stop off at all the stations on the way from New Street. With local trains stopping every 10 minutes, plus a few other units passing by, time passed quickly at each of the stations. All the usual trains, but at least different locations.
At Kings Norton we kept an eye on the time, it was just about time for the Advenza stock working, the points changed for the Camp Hill line and 3 of us lined up for the shot...... We waited for several minutes, the next local train was already late because of it - and all we got was a Voyager! What a let down! After giving it plenty of time, in case it was late, we headed for Walsall, see Update 65. Oh, the Advenza train didn’t run!
