Not sure of the exact year, but there was a rumour the railway was about to close & as I’d never been to the Isle of Man before I decided to head across there – caught train from Birmingham on Saturday morning after a night shift, booked bed & breakfast in Douglas & returned on Sunday. I have found about 12 slides, not sure if I have any other photos from that visit.
Went to Barrow Hill today, met up with Jonathan from “up north”.
Plenty to see & sunshine most of the day, all that walking around is tiring work on a hot day. Loads more photos to sort, again!
Saw 4247 a couple of times today. Some photos to sort but will wait until I get home to upload them
Saw the trains running again today & include one of the photos here:-
Easy day for us today, a walk to Boscarne Junction to see the train, then along the Camel Trail to Nanstallon Halt for lunch at the nearby cafe.
Then a drive to Bodmin for some shopping, with time to see 4247 on an afternoon train.
KC has been walked for miles & is now tired & sleeping peacefully on her blanket. Let’s hope she sleeps tonight.
A walk planned for later to Boscarne, to see the evening train, so that should tire her out more!
Made a change to get out of the local area & see a few different trains (and not have to drive, thanks to Andrew)
Good to see 6100 & 246, long time since I saw 1306 as well.
Just need a few hours to sort out the photos, but don’t expect them for a day or two……
