Another old slide IOMR 2-4-0T no. 4. About 1974?

Not sure of the exact year, but there was a rumour the railway was about to close & as I’d never been to the Isle of Man before I decided to head across there – caught train from Birmingham on Saturday morning after a night shift, booked bed & breakfast in Douglas & returned on Sunday. I have found about 12 slides, not sure if I have any other photos from that visit.

4247 running on Bodmin & Wenford

Easy day for us today, a walk to Boscarne Junction to see the train, then along the Camel Trail to Nanstallon Halt for lunch at the nearby cafe.

Then a drive to Bodmin for some shopping, with time to see 4247 on an afternoon train.

KC has been walked for miles & is now tired & sleeping peacefully on her blanket. Let’s hope she sleeps tonight.

A walk planned for later to Boscarne, to see the evening train, so that should tire her out more!
