The other photo added a few days has proved popular, so here is another. I can’t ever remember seeing any of this class working in BR days and have never seen this loco run – but come the Diesel Gala in a few weeks…….. As before, click image for larger version.
Another frame taken from a video. I was filming 34027 but knew the freight was expected any minute so kept looking out the corner of my eye so as to be ready when it came into view. As yet I haven’t uploaded the video but was pleased with how it came out.
The Scot had arrived before I reached the bridge, but was able to film it running round the stock. A good clear run as it approached me but bowled by 43106 on a service train. It’s another frame from a video which we will be uploaded later. As with other, click on image for larger version.
Still facing north, the Scot departs on a loaded test run towards Bridgnorth. It should be facing south for the Gala, so not may more chances of photos like this. The image is a frame from a video, so not as clear as a proper photo. The video of this will be uploaded later today. Click on the image to see a larger version.
Third time lucky, got to see the Scot on a test run from Bridgnorth. I filmed it running tender first into the station. Before returning, it was given a quick check, the oil can was out and you could see the crew inspecting the loco. I filmed some long zoom shots, doing the best I could from up on the footbridge before it headed back to Bridgnorth.
Looking at the above image, it’s quite good considering it is just a frame from the video!
