Even though it was raining, I decided to go to Stourbridge as there was an opportunity to photograph yet another Class 60 on a Round Oak train. The rain turned to snow, as you can see in the DMU photos. The unusual working was a tamper from Walsall to the SVR at Kidderminster, no. 73923.
The old signalbox is seen as 60040 approaches
This is such a slow time of year, nothing much happening & not much to photograph with no SVR trains until next weekend. At least the test trains & a few Class 60s have given me something to go and see. It is so easy to get out of the habit of sorting & uploading photos, but I am trying to get back into a routine again & will continue to work backwards through the photos. Oh, mustn’t forget those videos I took of the Santa specials, I’m sure there are some I haven’t edited yet!!
Another recent test train working, along with a few DMU photos – just to fill in my time as I waited.

Another one of those days when 2 test trains are due here within a short space of time. 1Q14 with the 37s had been to Stafford and was returning towards Birmingham before heading back to Derby. 3Q01 with the 31 was on the way from Derby to Shrewsbury.
37218, and in sun – makes a change
No 60s today, just a couple of 66s. 66197 on Margam – Round Oak & 66008 running south with the empties. Think I’ll stick with the 60s in future, they are more interesting.

Another Class 60 at Stourbridge seen recently. I’m pleased it was 60062 as I had no photo of this in my gallery. There was another 60 at Round Oak, but I didn’t see it as it ran very late.

97304 was on a light engine working from Coleham, running via Smethwick Galton Bridge & Bescot, and I was able to photograph it twice. 31105 was on a test train which reversed at Wolverhampton.

An opportunity to see a different Class 60 today. Wonder how long it will take me to see all the operational 60s at Stourbridge? Both freights were running late today and my train home left 2 minutes after the 6o passed through – so I was lucky!
60059 on 6V05
Here we go, trying to catch up with a few recent photos. Two Class 60s within 12 minutes at Stourbridge, couldn’t miss photographing that!
