New bay platform at Kidderminster

Called in at Kiddy today, looks like the trackwork has been completed -well, levelled & ballasted, can’t say signalling etc. is complete. The platform itself has still to be finished though.

They do some good meals in the King & Castle restaurant – which is open lunchtimes even when trains aren’t running. That’s where we were today, not much else to do for a meal out at this time of year. Must say I’m looking forward to the good weather & meals outside Bewdley buffet when trains are running.

Acronis – for backing up files & hard drives

In the March edition of Personal Computer World magazine, the cd contains a free version of Acronis True Image 10 software. I bought the version 10 software some time ago & have found it very useful for recovering files from backups after hard drive problems. I don’t know if the free version is exactly the same, but for the price of the magazine (3.99) it is a bargain.
