Always something to update! It’s version 1.5.46 now and 4 galleries have been updated so far, think I’ve 1 left to do. There is a beta version of 1.6 but I’ll give that a miss until it’s an official release, better to wait a while before trying that or converting my existing galleries.

A quick backup of everything and then an update to latest version. Seems to be working. So much catching up to do……

Too much gardening to do, always a backlog of videos to edit and upload. To make matters worse, I now have a 4K camcorder and the videos take longer to edit and upload, but after one upload taking hours I now just upload at hd quality, which is quicker and adequate for YouTube.

Another bonus is that I can get some decent “photos” from the frames in the video, so there will be plenty to add to my photo galleries again – but that will take up more time!

Well, 37421 on Derby to Round Oak on Monday and 66555 to Brierley Hill, then 66519 to Brierley Hill on Tuesday – an excuse to get out and video something! No idea why Freightliner are running to Brierley Hill unless the Croft stone trains are to start again? Time will tell. The Colas 37 from Derby was for route refreshing, apparently.

The videos are uploaded and the calendar updated but I’ve yet to get back into the swing of adding more images to the galleries.

I’ve checked through my videos and posted brief details on the calendar page for November 2016. I think most have been uploaded to YouTube but there are no proper links to videos or playlists from this blog. As to the galleries, I haven’t added the appropriate images which would show the link to the videos. At least I’m makin an effort to catch up!

There aren’t enough hours in the day, too much to do – or one of many other reasons why I’m so far behind. I need a plan of action….

Looking back over the last couple of months, two galas at the SVR, a week in Cornwall, gardening and other “things” that take up my time. Most of the videos have been edited and uploaded, but not linked to from here. Perhaps I can start entering details of the videos on the calendar, let’s see what happens.

Sat on train at Dorridge, about 30 minutes late now. Chiltern train also waiting to head to Birmingham, oh, that has just departed.

I’ve been using Evernote for various things over the past couple of years. It might be useful to help keep my blog updated as I can copy and paste from Evernote into the blog, including the url links to Youtube videos. All I have to do is make sure I keep updating my Evernote pages. We’ll see how it goes….

No postings since July – that is bad! Blame it on gardening and jury duty. Guess who was foreman of the jury – me, only because nobody else wanted to do it.

I’m trying to catch up with a backlog of videos from recent weeks, so be patient. Then as the weeks go by and less time is spent in the garden, more posts should be made here.

Wow, didn’t realise it has been that long. Hopefully the winter will be ending soon, but progress on the “winter projects” has not been good. Where does the time go to?
