11 wagons were in a good position for photography at Kidderminster, so not wanting to miss an opportunity…..
One of those moments when you have to take a photo! Note the “L” plate on the bufferbeam
This single photo didn’t really fit in with the others taken at Dorridge of 4965, so it is in a separate album. I think it was a test run, as it was a Sunday and was running slowly through the platform used for the terminating London Midland services
Just the one photo of 67013
A few photos taken when we visited Okehampton station whilst on holiday this summer. After a great sunday roast in the station buffet, we had a ride to Meldon Quarry.
The train to Exeter is on the left, ours to Meldon Quarry on the right
I seem to have rushed through these photos weeks ago, just uploading the photos of 3650, as it was the first day in service on the SVR. Needless to say the photos of the other locos were forgotten, until now!
The loco may be backwards, but it’s a pleasant scene
Another train from July. The closure of the Stourbridge line on Sundays during the summer has meant my only “regular” freight has not been seen recently. Now the nights are drawing in it will be too dark to photograph it the next time it runs.
The sunlight makes it a very difficult shot
Just a couple of photos from July, showing 4965 passing through the station on The Shakespeare Express. Unfortunately I haven’t seen this train many times this year, due to engineering works on the Stourbridge line. The replacement bus service was so slow that the journey was just not worthwhile.
Needless to say the sun wasn’t shining
Most of the photos for this date are of 3650, which have already been included in the 3650 album, so only 4 other photos actually needed uploading. Just part of my project to try and catch up on “forgotten” photos.
Just had to show the one of 43106 & KC here
Our first ride behind 1501 since 2006, to Highley and back. It seems a powerful little loco, managing the 8 coach load quite easily. Back at Kidderminster, 31806, which had arrived earlier in the week, was in steam and is seen departing towards Bewdley.

A visit to Kingsbury for the narrow gauge event. During the couple of hours or so that we were there, 10 different locos were seen in action. The sun was shining & KC enjoyed the walk, so we were all happy.

This must be the first time I have ever completed all of the uploads for a specific month. There are usually photos which I forget about after a few days and they don’t get added to the galleries. I am using my other WordPress site to list the dates, where the photos were taken, and also a list of numbers. There is also a link to the appropriate gallery, a link back to the entry in this blog, and finally a link to a page with selected photos just showing each loco just once.
Hopefully, the page with selected photos will be of use to people with android or other mobile phones to easily view some photos. It works well with my android mobiledoes it work with your mobile??
