Starting at Bridgnorth, 70013 hauled the Blue Bell Explorer all the way to Sheffield Park on the Bluebell Railway. Return was behind 47580, which is seen assisting at the rear as the train passes. The Brit looked and sounded great!
The 47 & steamer photos have also been uploaded in my other gallery, along with the those at International & Langley Green, but this set concentrates on Coventry & includes a couple of freight trains.
It was booked through platform 4 and into the loop, but it ran straight through on platform 3
70013 will work the Blue Bell Explorer from Bridgnorth to Sheffield Park on November 2nd. The empty stock was brought up from Southall by 47580 with 70013 running backwards at the rear of the train – probably better for photos than if it had been forward facing at the rear. Better still if it had actually hauled the stock though!
With the aid of my bus pass, I was able to get to see it at Coventry first, then catch up with it at Birmingham International and then finally to Langley Green.
