It’s all galas today! 60007 at SVR in 2009, 78019 at SVR in 2010 and at the KWVR 61994 leads 1054 in 2014. Also a video from the KWVR 2014 gala of 43924 on the goods banked by 1054.
5029, 70013 and 71000 at the SVR gala in 2009. 5764 and 5786 at the SVR gala 2010. Then in 2011 at Kidderminster, 40 “nuns” pull a “Chopper” . Finally a 2015 video with 68011 and 66187 at Stourbridge.
Two photos from the SVR, one in 2009 with an impressive line of locos including 60007 and 71000. The following year 6695 on a goods train. In 2011 71000 again at Wolverhampton and finally 121020 at Rowley Regis, and KC!
Rugby was always a fascinating place to visit back in 2003, as there were always locos parked up in the sidings and easy to photograph, 86233, 66520 and 57301 seen in one shot. In 2010 it was getting close to the SVR gala and 5764, 6695, D8188 & D8059 are seen in a convoy. Another convoy in 2013 at Small Heath with 47804, 57006 and 47760 was worth seeing. Well that was a lot of locos in just three photos!
I seem to remember a very cold day in Carlisle, perhaps it was in 2004 – couldn’t wait to get on the train home to get warm, anyway, 60050 seen. Then in 2007 to Highley where 4566 is seen. The 20s were in action at Stafford in 2007 with 20304 and 20301 speeding through. Finally Kidderminster, but not the SVR, in 2013 as 47854 leads on a railtour.
In 2002 I visited Shackerstone and 31130 and D9525 are seen. 2005 seems to have photos at Crewe and Rugby, so probably a Day Ranger ticket, 86901 is in the photo at Rugby. At the SVR 61994 is seen running on to the exchange siding, visiting for the gala. Finally at Stourbridge 60062 on a steel train in 2014. Nice and easy for a change, photos already in the galleries.
The oldest photo is at Bridgnorth in 2003 and shows 1501 departing and 37906 in the headshunt. In 2008 86259 is at Sandwell & Dudley on Les Ross’s Day Tripper to Liverpool. One to see in 2012 at Walsall was a 56 transfer with 47727 and 47749 hauling 56058, 56032 and 56096 from Crewe to Kingsbury. Then down south to the Mid Hants for a gala in 2013 and a photo of 925 and 850.
