45562 Alberta at Carlisle on 1Z45 South Yorkshireman. 7/10/67.

I travelled on this tour wwhich started from Bradford & ran to Carlisle via Shap, returning via Settle. 45593 hauled the final leg from Leeds to Bradford, not sure if I have a photo of that. I do have old photos of other BR locos, but not sure if they were taken on this day, something to work on in the future.

48773 in BR days. Bolton, 20/04/68.

Haven’t used my scanner for years, but unpacked it a few weks ago & have started scanning old photos, negative & slides.  I’ve forgotten most of the photos I took, the quality was awful a lot of the time. Had to borrow my Dad’s camera and sometimes photos weren’t printed & only had films developed – so couldn’t really study the results in great detail. Film was probaly slow speed as well, looking at fast moving trains they always came out blurred.

Checking the Railtour files – https://www.sixbellsjunction.co.uk/60s/680420bn.html it must have been taken at Bolton, as I have a poor shot of a pair of Standard 5s alongside the 8F.
