“Gresley” conquers Old Hill bank

No banker, and no clear run through Cradley, but it went well through Old Hill with 11 on.

Hoping my photos turn out well, they’ll be sorted later.

They can all be found here:-

Sorry about including the DMUs but that explains the reason for the slow climb by Gresley, checked by signals caused by the one driver using the lineside ‘phone.

47s & a 57 at Leamington

2 Colas 47s were due to haul a train from Burton via Leamington today. I thought of going to Water Orton at first, but news of a DRS working from Crewe to Eastleigh, also via Leamington, made me change my mind. Will sort the photos in a day or two.

SVR Festival of Steam, 2nd day

Had another (part) day at the railway, cut short as KC wasn’t too well & had had to go home to help Margaret take her to the vet, again, as she also went last night. Pleased to say she seems a bit better this evening after another antibiotic “jab”.

The day started quite well, with some sunshine, but cloud soon took over and the temperature dropped. So far only managed the photos from Friday, seen here:-

SVR Festival of Steam

First day, dry with some sun. Went to Kidderminster & Bewdley. Locos running were 5029, 5164, 7812, 60007, 70013 & 71000.

Plenty of time for passengers to change trains at Bewdley, good to see the visiting locos doing most of the work and not standing idle most of the day!
