We travelled from Bewdley to The Engine House for lunch, our loco was 42968. 5164 was seen working a southbound train, closely followed by D8059 which spent some time shunting at Highley. Next seen was 7802 on a train for Bridgnorth, then D8059 headed south with a very short train. Finally we returned to Bewdley behind 42968.
I said it was a very short train…….
We called in at the station for lunch. The 2 trains we did see both entered the station at the same time and from where I was standing there was only the opportunity to photograph 1 train – at least it was the chimney-first one!
There was a brief chance to get both locos in one shot…..
Easter Monday and we were in the Arley area, again. Just for a change, we walked towards Victoria Bridge instead of up river, at least it varies the photos a bit!
Also seen is the LMS dining coach, 7511, and a bit of colour from some daffodils.
They’re both probably wondering where I am…..
5 trains in operation today, so plenty to see. Not as sunny as predicted, in fact quite cool at times, but at least it was dry. A walk by the river, followed by a visit to the station & finally the path overlooking Victoria Bridge.

Well, that’s the first quarter of the year gone already!
The weather was dry enough for a walk by the river, so KC was with us. 4 trains were operating the service with the 5th loco on Footplate Experience.
The coal looked rather low in the bunker!
Not many photos, due to the weather & the fact I was travelling to Arley by train.
Only stayed long enough to eat my sandwiches before returning behind 6695
At a total of 249, it is a large number of photos. Loco numbers or name have now been added to the captions, making it easier to find specific locos.
Travelled on the 11.40 from Kidderminster, crossed with 7802 at Bewdley, returned from Arley behind 6695. D8188 was also seen running into the bay platform at Kidderminster and 42968 had been lit up at Bewdley.
