The first 5 trains I saw were all running backwards, it does happen like that sometimes & isn’t much fun! Really hot weather & we spent most of the time in the shade, which pleased KC.

The e-mail posting from earlier in the day listed the locos seen at Bewdley, so you know what to expect with this update. Going by the timetable for today, we only expected to see the 2 service trains, but were pleasantly surprised to see the Class 37 on Driver Experience and the 0-6-2T running light to Bridgnorth.

Both service trains were tender-first when I saw them, but I managed one shot with two locos in:-

The diesels had attended a diesel gala at the Swanage Railway and were being returned to Butterley, the 47 would then head for Tyseley.

Not easy to get all 4 diesels in the shot here, with tight curvature and the risk of a DMU getting in the way, as the other photos will show.

The train, complete with Hogwarts Express headboard and Hogwarts Castle nameplates, was an empty stock working from Carnforth to Southall. There had been a break of journey at Tyseley before continuing south and it is seen passing Dorridge about 20 minutes early.
