5690 was booked to attend the SVR Autumn Gala and is seen near the end of the journey from Carnforth. After the gala, it returned north at the head of a railtour to Blackpool, photos of which I added several days ago.
In sunlight & looking very nice
You saw the photos at Bodmin Parkway in an earlier update, the other reason we were at the station was to see Bittern working a railtour back to Bristol. The train didn’t stop for very long and I just had time to get from one end of the platform to the other to see it depart.
The train is passing the connection to the Bodmin Steam Railway
Called in at Stourbridge to see 121020 heading for Kidderminster and the Railcar Reunion event, which starts tomorrow. One thing for sure, you don’t often get sunny shots like this at Old Hill.
Makes a change to see a different livery.
