D1015 ran from Old Oak to Tyseley today, I waited at Tyseley to photograph it. Also seen are a few other trains during the short time I was out. I remember my last attempt to photograph this loco, I was heading towards Small Heath – but it departed from Tyseley early & passed my train just before I arrived at Small Heath.

This was a pleasant surprise, as it normally runs up the Lickey.
The working was 6X39 Bescot ES to Cardiff Queen Street.
66050 is the leading loco, 66003 was at the rear.
On Friday we were in Bridgnorth & had a walk to the station. 34053 arrived with a train from Kidderminster and of course the camera came out for a few photos.

Expecting rain, I didn’t plan to take any photos during my visit on the Saturday – which included some train rides, but today was the usual day out. All 5 locos operating were seen at the station, plus a few long shots from the arboretum.

Yes, more photos from several weeks ago. In action at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway were 37215, 45149, 47376, 5081, D5343, D8137, E6036 & the DMU. There was a problem with the Peak early in the day & E6036 was sent to rescue it, as seen in the photos, but 45149 was back in action later in the day. An enjoyable day out.

Another set of photos which were uploaded some weeks ago, but not mentioned here. Highlight is 43106 on its first run with a service train without assistance, following boiler work etc at Bridgnorth. The loco had run light to Bewdley a couple of days earlier, then worked top & tail with 2857 on a train the previous day. Note the “flying pig” on the middle lamp bracket above the buffer beam.

KC appears in a couple of photos, I promised to print one off for our friends who make the sandwiches in the kiosk. Also seen at the station.are some of the Morris dancers, they were about to catch a train to Highley for another performance.

I was on my own, so caught the train to Highley for a change of scene. Not only did I photograph all the locos running, but filmed them all as well. Which reminds me, I haven’t listed recent uploads to youtube – another task to add to the ever growing list!

These photos were uploaded a couple of days ago – I’m not keeping this blog updated, tut tut! 5164 was also running, but as it was bunker first when I saw it, I didn’t bother to photograph it. D1062 was on a test run, which I was not aware of, so it was a surprise to see it.
34053 approaches as 4566 waits with the Diner
A drive down to Winchcombe to see a few trains. The DMU was running between Winchcombe & Laverton, the 2 steam locos were running between Toddington & Cheltenham. Looking back through my older gallery photos, there aren’t any of these 2 locos, so 2 new additions in 1 day is very good!
I decided to show the 8F here, as I often see a 28XX at the SVR
A number of freights are seen, including 20s on the Berkeley flask train. Other classes seen are 66, 67, 70, 86, 90 & 92. Not forgetting the NMT or “flying banana”!
