I had missed several trains on this route earlier in the month – they were either cancelled or ran early, but I was luckier today. 47815 was the loco I wanted to see, 59003 was a bonus, although I had seen it a few times recently.

45596 had a test run to Stratford and back in the morning, then a loaded test run to Leicester and back later in the day. The first clip shows it approaching Tyseley with support coach then on the loaded test run passing Small Heath with 47773 on the rear.

45231 was on a loaded test run from Crewe, running via Telford, and that was where I filmed it. I had planned to go to Albrighton but signalling problems meant all the trains from Birmingham were delayed – so Telford it had to be.
