Saturday didn’t go as planned! We went to Arley for lunch & to see the 2 trains cross, but the kiosk wasn’t open so no sandwiches or cuppa. It was too cold to hang around just to wait for the trains so we headed for Bewdley, arriving just in time to see 43106 depart on the 12.29. The next train we saw was 5164 on the 1pm. At least we were able to get something to eat & drink at the station but having KC with us meant we were eating outside.

Sunday, the plan was just Bewdley, and without KC we could sit inside the buffet to eat. 43106 & 5164 were on the same trains as Saturday, with 46443 on the 1pm to Highley only.

Apparently it was the last day for Alun Rees on the footplate on the Sunday and 43106 was carrying “The South Wales Pullman” headboard. Also, 42968 was on the Stourport branch siding near Bewdley South box, having had problems the previous day.
