Old habits die hard, always used to make a Christmas card with KC in it. Unfortunately she is no longer with us, as a dog that is, but her memory lives on in our memory bear.

Video, Kidderminster, 43106, 7714, 220030 & 172007.
First passenger trains at the Severn Valley Railway following the latest lockdown. Two of the locos working services today are seen, also 220030 & 172007. 172340 also speeds past as the Pannier approaches.

New Videos, Voyagers up the Dark Side, 221144, 221128, 220018, week beginning 06/04/21.
5Z44 ecs Bristol Temple Meads – Birmingham New Street running again. Filmed the first 2 days at Cradley Heath, 221144 on Tuesday, 221128 On Wednesday, change of scenery for 220018 on Thursday at Stourbridge. Didn’t bother on Friday as it was 221144 again.

A quick trip to Stafford and back to see the first passenger train hauled by a Class 88, 1Z88 Euston – Carlisle. Also a couple of 90s on 4M27 Coatbridge – Daventry.

After two earlier visits during the day, I was back again for another freight hauled by 66114. Couldn’t read any Voyager numbers but other units were 172214, 1723334, 170502, 153354, 172219 & 172221.

The Lickey was closed and Cross Country trains and the occasional freight were sent via the Dark Side. These trains were filmed on a couple of visits to the station during the day. Numbers I could read are:- 172221, 170638, 170522, 66183, 66057, 172332, 43366, 43285, 170518, 170101, DR98909, DR98959, 43321, 43357, not forgetting some Voyagers.

Here are some more old videos, mostly at Arley but I do travel to Highley & back. It was fun trying to film the birds flying in and out of their “nest”.

Another day out from many years ago. Filmed a couple of trains at Arley then to Bewdley behind 43106 & saw the other two locos, then back to Arley. No time to sort out any photos for this, so just the video for now.

I haven’t time to add photos to the galleries at the moment so this is just a posting for the video.
My day started at Old Hill with 66113 on 6P04 Kidderminster – Crewe Basford Hall. Only just got to the station in time to see it. Then off to Arley to film 60163 & 2857. After that, near the old Rifle Range Halt to see 60163 & 46100. Then at Kidderminster, 4 x 66s in a convoy, 66114, 66169, 66051 & 66238 on 0N44 Bescot – Margam. Royal Scot can be heard running round in the background and soon after is seen departing with a train to Bridgnorth. Final clip shows the diesel depot with a Class 50 in the background.

I took another photo 8 days after the one in the previous post and was surprised at how much they had grown. Maybe I’ll get round to repotting the 5 small ones this afternoon if it warms up a bit – as no train to see today!!
As they grow, the plan is to move them into pots the size of the one filled with water, top right of the image, but for the next year or so I think they’ll be OK in the medium size pots. Time will tell.
