Still catching up on recent posts, This was a much better result than the one with the 56 a couple of days earlier as the speed was slower, it came out well.

It gets a bit boring and time comsuming with all these unit photos but it’ll be something to look back at in years to come as liveries change and stock is replaced. in this part 20 photos will be added, with more to follow in later posts. All unit photos from this date will show in the same album in the gallery, so there will be plenty of them.

Worth a walk down the station, but just starting to spit with rain as the train was due, and blowing into the lens. 0Z56 Bristol – Preston and it must be my shortest video!!

The sun was shining and I thought I’d have a wander down the station to see the Berkeley, as it had an 88 on it. As I waited another train arrived with 153334 and 153365 on the rear, so I filmed them as well. Not brilliant as there’s not much room on that platform and the lamp posts don’t help. Tossed a coin, into the sun or from the other platform – always a gamble, but at least the unit was part way down the platform and didn’t block too much of the view.
Had though of going to Old Hill, but the stopper was cancelled – crew shortage or something like that.

Following on from the previous post, a few more photos at Bromsgrove before returning to Droitwich to see the other working to Long Marston. I enjoyed cropping the photos of trains at Droitwich, it’s a nice location.

Final set of unit photos from this day. Some are a bit blurry, probably due to speed of train and the light fading, but does help to add a number to my list – as I don’t see much of the West Coast main line electric units or Voyagers.

More units filmed on the above date, it does get a bit repetitive but does help the time pass a bit quicker as I wait for the next freight. Interesting to try and get a “reasonable” photo from the video though.

Great start, 139001 approaches as 57312 rounds the bend, perfect timing. The train started at Tyseley and after running round at Stourbridge the 57 hauled the saloon to Round Oak, probably surveying the route in connection with improving the local rail services. My final clips are at Cradley Heath, I wanted to film from the other platform – but couldn’t risk it!! 172215 and 172343 also seen.

At last, something interesting round the Dark Side for a change, seems such a dead time of the year! 37521 went to Kidderminster to collect 37688 and take it to Crewe. As usual with me these days, a unit or two, don’t know how much longer the 153s will be in action in this area – so had to film them. As for the Dodger, I was hoping to film it then pan round as the 37 approached, but that didn’t work.

First set of photos at Stafford. I’ve never kept a list of units that I’ve photographed but over the years it must’ve been all of the local ones. As I work my way through these I will try to update my “units” number lists but it will take a long take to work back through the last 15 years or more. Sounds like another winter project!
