Another missing blog post from the start of January, the bonus was the Class 20 collecting the grotto stock, oh, mustn’t forget 92214 was working one of the services as well – lovely loco!

Update 1025. Video of 67020 at Old Hill, 02/01/15
This is one of those (many) updates which was not posted in this blog. Doubt if we’ll see many 67s round this way now the 68s are taking over. I also filmed 172338 & 172211 before 67020 came through, but have put the 67 first in the playlist as that looks better than DMUs – know what I mean!!
January events on calendar, lots to do, again
Just Dorridge & Kings Norton that are not my usual haunts. From memory, those videos were uploaded, but as with February I will have to add the links from the calendar to blog entries. This could take a while – I still have final day of SVR gala to do!!
February events on calendar, lots to do
So far this month I haven’t see a train, but February looked as if I went out a lot. Trouble was, it was all the usual local stations except for visits to Tamworth & Nuneaton. I’ve probably uploaded many of the videos but need to add the links from the calendar to the blog entry, so hopefully the “red” entries should soon change to different colours.
Update 1024. Video of 37612 & 37605 at Rowley Regis, 02/02/15
Now that I’m happier with the look of the blog & the calendar I can try & concentrate on catching up with all the “forgotten” videos from recent months. 6M56 Berkeley – Crewe no longer seems to run round the Dark Side – which is a pity as I enjoyed seeing the 37s or whatever hauled it. Still, at least I have the videos to watch!!
The new calendar
I think I’ve set up the calendar just the way I want it. The old calendar was separate from this blog but this new one is a plugin within the blog – so hopefully will be easier for me to maintain & update.
So far, just the month of March has been entered on the calendar. Entries show the dates I filmed some trains, if the colour is red – it means I haven’t uploaded the videos yet (so expect plenty of those!) but other colours indicate subjects filmed, green for SVR, black for modern traction on the mainline, grey for steam on the mainline & purple for trams.
If I keep seeing red – it might prompt me to sort the videos & upload them, at least I will be able to see what is outstanding.
So follow this link to see how it looks so far
Clicking on events, other than red ones, will take you to the blog entry with a brief description & link to any videos. It would be good to think I could work backwards and work my way through the years when I took photos – but that would be a very long job!
Update 1023. Videos at Severn Valley Railway Spring Gala 20/03/15 part 4
My final videos from the first day of the gala, all at Arley, then back by train to Kidderminster.
Update 1022. Videos at Severn Valley Railway Spring Gala 20/03/15 part 3
I uploaded the videos ages ago so am rather late adding this page. There are 5 clips of trains at Arley, showing 2857, 4270, L92 (5786), 34053 & 1054.
Update 1021. Video of 66168 at Stourbridge, 19/03/15
I think this was the day I wanted to see both the Round Oak trains, as I didn’t have a video of either of them – but the southbound ran early & I missed it. So, only the northbound is seen.
Update 1020. Playlist – 2857 & 43106 at Arley, 14/03/15
I walked to Arley station from the arboretum , so no train ride for me. Shots not very exciting as both locos were tender first.
Update 1019. Playlist of 92018 & 92033 at Stafford, 10/03/15
92018 was on test/training runs between Crewe and Stafford during the day and 92033 (with 66747 in case of problems) was working 4L18 Trafford Park – Felixstowe.
Update 1018. Playlist of DMU, 2857, 7812 & 43106 Severn Valley Railway – 07/03/15
I travelled to Arley on the DMU, filming the old water pipes near the aqueduct as I passed by. 2857 worked the northbound service & 7812 on my train back to Kidderminster. 43106 was briefly seen at Bewdley on Footplate Experience. Also filmed the ride from Bewdley up to Foley Park tunnel, the elephants are also seen in the Safari Park.
